Red State by Kevin Smith, a true HORROR movie!

In case you didn’t know, Kevin Smith has his own radio station with daily shows &/or podcasts, ’tis wildly entertaining.

Repo! The Genetic Opera

Repo! The Genetic Opera was supposed to have been released April 25th, containing Bill Moseley and Skinny Puppy’s Ogre.

Now listing a release date of 08/08/08 on IMDB, it annoys me that this wasn’t released.

Is Lion’s Gate scared? It’s rumored that they’re dousing their drawers over the fact that it’s all singing, no dialogue.

C’mon, they unleased that Sweeney Todd turd (which had some redeeming qualities - visually, NOT the singing) and it managed to flourish.

Great synopsis of Repo here.

The Black Cat

Saw this tonight at Texas Frightmare Weekend. Jeffrey Combs plays Edgar Allan Poe quite nicely.

However, it was nearly unbearable. I can watch humans slaughtered by the dozens on screen, but when it comes to animals, I get squeamish. Just seemed too realistic.

Tortured cat sounds always wig me out too. Too much treble & FAR too much first-hand experience w/my own demon hell cat. ;)

Santa Angelina

Santa AngelinaAngelina Jolie is so lovely. Not just for obvious reasons, but because she lives with such intensity.

Drawn by hand and carved out of 9×12″ black scratchboard.

In the reference photo, she’s speaking to a group of children - totally connecting with them and radiating such joy!

To me, this image is glorious, exalted. I want to redo this in a Baroque style, to do it more justice.
