Goodbye Yvonne

My cherished fiend, Angel of Malevolence, broke this sad news to me:

Unmatched Beauty

Unmatched BeautyCanadian-born, Yvonne De Carlo - more widely known as Lily Munster - died on Monday, January 8th, 2007.

Abandoned by her father at 3, her mother worked as a waitress to support them. She encouraged her lively and entertaining child, who often staged impromptu neighborhood plays, with dance lessons. They moved to Hollywood when she was 15 to pursue fame, then back to Canada, returning in later years where she did achieve notoriety.

I would love to find a copy of this movie, American Gothic, one of her later movies about a lunatic family.

BEST COMMERCIAL EVER!

Giants are ravishing a city, only to be foiled by “DIARRHEA!” as an upbeat chorus cheerfully informs you while they perform a synchronized interpretive dance.

You’d think Pepto Max would make it available on their site, missed opportunity on their part - this commercial is HILARIOUS!!! >:D

I Love George Takei

I ♥ George Takei

I never cared much about anything having to do with the old school Star Trek series, but since George Takei came out of the closet and has been publicly speaking for equal rights for ALL people (gay, straight, undecided - it’s shouldn’t matter!), well - I just adore the man!

He was brave to go on the Howard Stern show in the first place, but to become the official announcer of? It’s wonderful! He lends such an air of culture, giving Robin Quivers someone on her level to converse with, and is such a self-aware man with a wicked sense of humor.

Here is an article on this lovely man and
here is his official site.
