WTF is this place?!

This site houses my personal lowbrow art. By day I am gainfully employed, so this is an outlet for my more esoteric ideas.

I post extensively on topics of personal intrigue: Art, Animals, Ethics, Equal Rights, Dualism, Psychology, Sexuality & the Subconscious - the same things that drive my art.

In reference to the “Nightmare Girls” name - it’s after a project, an ongoing series, portraits of beautiful and intense women.

While you’re here, satisfy your morbid urge to gaze in my gallery.

The Samsung Epic that wasn’t (or, “THBBBT on SPRINT!”)

I began with an iPhone 3G, which had slowed to a crawl. I figured it was AT&T’s network and decided to abandon ship for Sprint’s larger and faster 4G network. The Samsung Epic really tickled my fancy, because it had a beautiful display and I already <3 their TV’s.

The Sprint Store had *2* employees working on the day of the Epic release. There were others, but they hid in the back, coming out only to leave. No greeter, no sign-in, no semblance of order. Ppl who had been waiting longer were wandering the store, leaving it up to the other customers to keep track of who’s next.

After sitting in the chaotic Sprint store for an hour, I dislike them even more than when I last left them several years ago. After an hour’s wait, shortened by other customers leaving in disgust before they were helped, I get up to the counter to get my reserved Samsung Epic. Everything’s going well until they ask multiple choice questions to verify my identity.

Only 1 of 3 questions had a familiar answer and it was difficult to hear over the in-store chaos. I apparently answered 2 questions wrong and they were unable to verify my identity. Not only that, but that they couldn’t ask any additional questions to further verify because their system locks me out for 60 days, after which I could try again.

Fear not - I don’t want your phone, your so-called service, NO SPRINT, no way, not me! Customer-oriented companies are all I want servicing me. Yeah, that’s right - SERVICE ME, happy endings, and then some! ;)

I investigated the alternatives. Both AT&T and Verizon had were capable of verifying my identity and credit with NO WAIT in their orderly stores. I was greeted immediately and in queue for the next person available, no wait because they have *several* employees, they’re fully staffed to accommodate their customers. Take notes, Sprint!

So, I wound up testing the Motorola Droid 2 with Android 2.2 (Froyo) OS on Verizon, as well as the iPhone 4 on AT&T. :) This was made possible by the 30 day trial period each company offers to entice new customers with no strings, just a restocking fee. 30 days of hands-on was very informative and I now have a phone that I am completely happy with. :)

Stay tuned for a comparison of those smartphones and services to see which phone was victorious. It wasn’t an easy decision.

How dare this bitch!

Laura Bush, self-righteous fuck from the bowels of hell, treated herself to neck surgery for a pinched nerve. WTF, bitch?!

It’s your “god’s will” you are so fond of speaking to, when you and your ignorant husband DENY stem cell research funding. You fuck!

You deserve no benefits of the science and medical technology that you so oppose. Let the Jebus sort it out, I’m sure he’s got your best interest at heart.

Behavior Detection Officers

On the recent topic of micro-expressions

“Specially trained security personnel” will be watching passengers for “micro-expressions” that will reveal treacherous agendas and insidious intentions at airports around the country. These agents, who may literally hold your fate in their hands have been given a lofty, Orwellian name: “Behavior Detection Officers.”

Airports are torture for the impatient (me) and are not conducive to mental stability, with existing security lines, switched gates and delays.

How does one discern which pissed-off, anxious fuck trying to find their way is a menace? I’m not in a good way at airports, nor does anyone else appear to be from the behavior I’ve witnessed.

It’s not even a precise science, subject to perception. This is just odd.

Selective Morality

It’s revolting how these self-righteous fucks inflict morals via legislation, but fancy themselves to be above the law.

Meanwhile, with their words they are fostering a society of hatred & discrimination, most notably against gay people in the name of preserving the “sanctity of marriage,” which should only be pissed upon in secret - have some couth, man!

Then, conveniently enough, with their religion they are forgiven for behaving like savages, so long as they repent with the Jeebus & their families.

“People can believe in two opposing things. Humans are ingenious in how they can make exceptions for themselves. ‘Practice what you preach’ is an old saw, but there are plenty of charismatic figures who are known to be mean and nasty in their home life,”

“These people make an exception for themselves. The very fact of their own misbehavior is the reason they preach to others,”

I’m fascinated by how ppl can perceive themselves, in thoughts & words, as a good person - or somehow qualified to advise others on how to properly live their lives - when their actions say otherwise.

“Often the people who speak loudest about something are trying to protect themselves from their own urges. They act out one way on the public stage, but inside they have this urge. They feel it’s wrong, and outwardly, they’re telling themselves it’s wrong. It’s as if they’re having a conversation with themselves,”
